2010-July-28, Lhasa Police Wipe Out Drug Dens

2010-July-28,

On June 25 at about 7 am, when many were still asleep, several people drove through the alley, and quietly came to a hotel near Duodi road. After getting off, they quickly entered this hotel, and arrested a man and a woman in one room. Through careful raid they found some drug paraphernalia and a small amount of drugs. It turned out that the several people are anti-drug police of Narcotics Control detachment of Lhasa City Public Security Bureau, while the two arrested are suspects of drug taking and trafficking. At this point, although two suspects have been arrested, it is just the beginning of this arrest.

With careful investigation a drug-trafficking gang surfaced
Last month, the anti-drug police of Narcotics Control Detachment of Lhasa City Public Security Bureau, learned about that there are several people selling Methamphetamine and Magu in Lhasa for a long time. Grasping this clue, the anti-drug police started to investigate. As time went by, the investigation also goes deeper step by step. At last, a drug-trafficking gang with four members is gradually emerging. Anti-drug police are surprised that while only four members, this drug trafficking gang assigned their work clearly. They have specially-assigned persons responsible for drug trafficking and selling. They also have their own heelers. In addition, they are doing "big business" with a very bad influence.

To avoid alerting the drug gang, the police in charge of Narcotics Control Detachment of Lhasa City Public Security Bureau made a rigorous plan in time and decided to catch the whole gang.

The Police dispatched and arrested all the members of the drug-trafficking gang
On June 25, anti-drug police knew that a drug gang member and a female drug suspect appeared in a hotel near Duodi Road. Then the anti-drug police made a decisive attack and arrested the two in the hotel room at about 7 am.

After the successful arrest of the two, the police immediately decided to track down. They interrogate the two suspects and learned that another three were hiding in a rental house near Nyangra North Road. The police immediately went to Nyangra North Road.

When reaching the rental house, they are not very clear about the situation on the spot, so they first made an observation instead of a rush arrest. After knowing better about the situation, they made a rapid attack and successfully arrested five suspects in the rental house. Apart from three members of the drug-trafficking gang, there are two drug-taking suspects. Then the police launched a search in the house. They searched out a password box under the bed. After opening it, they found three bags containing suspicious white crystals, weighing about 51 grams. In the closet and a toy panda on the bed, they also found 1,517 suspicious red tablets, weighing about 150 grams. Meanwhile, the anti-drug police also ferreted out an electronic scale, drug paraphernalia, drug packaging and foil, etc. Those suspicious substances were preliminarily identified as Methamphetamine, and Magu.

"We have arrested five suspects and also found a large number of drugs in a rental house. That house is purely a 'drug den'", an anti-drug police in an interview yesterday said.

Four unemployed gathered to do drug-trafficking
After trial, four members of the drug-trafficking gang accounted for the entire course of their drug-trafficking. Yesterday, the reporter knew from the anti-drug detachment of Lhasa City Public Security Bureau that the four were from Sichuan. After graduation from middle school, due to their low education, it is difficult for them to find suitable jobs. In order to achieve their "dreams about making a fortune", the four gathered and took part in drug trafficking.

"They have sold drugs in Lhasa for a while with a large amount. Before the arrest, they have shipped a batch of drugs from Chongqing", One police told the reporter. However, Justice has long arms and they will be severely punished by law.
